One of my ongoing life goals is to help people, obviously! In order to do that, I don’t just sit behind a desk and help my clients, I also engage actively in the community.
This means going to events, hosting donation drives, and actively listening to the communities needs. This attentive spirit aids in my ability to designate time, efforts, and energy to improving neighbors and community.

Helping others isn’t about bragging rights, or feeling like a good person. Food, shelter, community, and more are also suicide prevention. As a clinician my oath to the community is to reduce risks, guide individuals, and always find ways to leave the world better than I found it.
2020 Back to school drive
The harsh reality is, 1 in 10 children live below the poverty line in America. Individuals, regardless of their age, deserve the bare necessities. My goal was to collect enough backpacks to fill them with every item down to the last eraser and highlighter a child would need to start the school year off right. No embarrassment in comparing their backpack or supplies to classmates. That should be the last thing on their mind. With the love and help poured from the community, we were able to collect over 30 backpacks FILLED with every single item needed.
2021 Easter Basket Drive
And I wasn’t going to stop there! I thought to myself, what are luxuries and privileges some can’t afford or have? It came to me, Easter baskets. With more help from the community and affiliates we were able to collect and put together items for 30 wonderful easter baskets for the folks at KidsFirstNow. Which is an organization that prevents and treats child abuse and neglect.
